This is a circa 1980s pilot hat badge 1st issue for Bar Harbor Airlines. The airlines began in 1971 and its first very popular route was to Boston. The wing has an Eastern-inspired bird at its center.
VINTAGE:Circa 1980s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-7/8" in height and 2-1/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickel-plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Two posts with clutch-backs, stabilization post.
MARKINGS:None.
