ARTIFACT: This is an Asian-made United States Navy submarine patch for the nuclearĐpowered submarine USS Robert E. Lee SSN-601. She was launched at Newport News, Virginia on December 18, 1959 and decommissioned in November 1983. The patch bears the motto PAX DETERRENDO: Peace through deterrence.

VINTAGE: Circa 1980s.

SIZE: Approximately 4-1/8" in height and 3-11/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Fully embroidered in cotton/polyester/silk threads.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The patch is in excellent condition with very minimal wear.
