1980's - 90's US Dept. of Defense Police Sergeant Hat Badge as worn at Portsmouth Navy Yard

1980's ??? 1990's United States Department of Defense Police Sergeant hat badge as worn at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard by Blackinton. The center of the badge features a raised disc that shows the Great Seal of the United States encircled by blue enamel ring that reads: "DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA". On either side of the center disc, there are crossed police batons, the top of the badge features an eagle with a bowed head and the base reads: "SERGEANT" against a blue enameled background.
