1980 Dated "Top Gun" Era Flight Helmet Type PRK-37/P w/Earphones & 1982 Dated Bag

This is a 1980 dated "Top Gun" era United States Navy flight helmet Type PRK-37/P with a 1982 dated helmet bag. The helmet has a visor, earphones and a connector, and is tape-decorated. The interior is a little funky because the shock-absorbent lining is starting to deteriorate. This helmet came from a warm climate and this may be the reason.

Circa 1980 (bag dated 1982).

Helmet: approximate size medium; bag: approximately 19" in height by 20" in width (lying flat).

Helmet: various synthetic materials; bag: nylon, metal.

Helmet: chin strap with buckle, snaps; bag: handles, zipper, hook.

Helmet: HELMET, SHELL ASSEMBLAGE PRK-37/P MIL-H-85847 SIZE MED CONTRACT NO. NOO383-80-C-3110 P/N 954AS300-1 MER CODE 97427; also a label on connector; RUBIN(?) written inside. Bag: BAG, FLYER'S, HELMET DLA100-82-C-4603 8415-00-782-2989 FANCY INDUSTRIES, INC. 12.

6 (Fine+): The helmet has some spots of light wear to the outside and the interior is beginning to disintegrate.
