This is a circa 1972 United States army 3rd Armored Division "Red Eye" qualification pocket patch given for aircraft proficiency. The "Red Eye" was the nickname given to the Air Defense platoon. The patch is in olive green drab cotton showing a jet in a sight.
VINTAGE:Circa 1972.
SIZE:Approximately 3-11/16" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Cotton twill embroidered in cotton/silk/polyester threads.
ATTACHMENT:None.
MARKINGS:None.
