This is a 1970s jacket patch for the Grumman F-14 Tomcat, which debuted in 1970 and became a staple of the United States Navy. The Tomcat also flew for the United States Marine Corps. The patch is triangular and shows the craft embroidered in gold, and was worn yet was unauthorized.
VINTAGE:Circa 1970s.
SIZE:Approximately 5-5/8" in height and 3-15/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Twill embroidered in cotton/silk/polyester threads, mesh overlay backing.
ATTACHMENT:None.
