ARTIFACT:
This is a circa 1970s pilot cap badge for Saudia, or Saudi Arabian Airlines. The airline was founded in 1945 and changed its name to Saudia for the years 1972 until 1996 only. This badge has an enameled green center showing a palm tree and two crossed swords.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1970s.
SIZE:
Approximately 1-9/16" in height and 1-15/16" in width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Gilt brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:
One post with clutch-back, one screw post with disc backing with stabilization teeth.
