ARTIFACT: This is a late 1970s or early 1980s United States Air Force patch for a first solo flight in a T-38 Talon trainer jet. The T-38 was the first supersonic trainer jet and is the last type of jet a recruit will fly before receiving their first mission. The patch reads SOLO QUAL 1 FLT and shows the jet embroidered at its center.

VINTAGE: Circa late 1970s - early 1980s.

SIZE: Approximately 4-1/2" in height and 2-7/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Twill embroidered in cotton/polyester thread, mesh backing.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Air Force collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAX10 LBCX7/12 SBCX8/18

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The patch shows light wear and minor pilling.
