Description
This is a 1960s United States Air Force 48th Tactical Fighter Wing jacket patch. Stationed at France's Chaumont Air Base in the 1950s, the 48th adopted the Statue of Liberty as their new logo and named themselves after the statue given to the United States by France. The patch is crest-shaped and shows the Statue of Liberty with the words LA STATUE DE LIBERTE embroidered below.
VINTAGE:Circa 1960s.
SIZE:Approximately 4-3/8" in height and 4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully embroidered in silk/cotton/polyester threads.
