This is a 1960s distinctive insignia by N.S. Meyer for the United States Army 22nd Field Artillery Regiment. Personnel from the 4th Field Artillery Regiment were transferred to make up the 2nd, so the DI has the 4th Field Artillery coat of arms as a canton and reads LABORE ET HONORE (labor and honor).
VINTAGE:Circa 1960s.
SIZE:Approximately 1" in height 1-1/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Two posts.
MARKINGS:N.S. MEYER INC. NEW YORK, raised shield maker mark, 22M in crest.

CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The DI shows some light wear and slight crazing to the enamel.
