This is a 1960s United States Army distinctive insignia for the 157th Military Police Battalion. The DI reads TO SERVE AND PROTECT and shows white five-pointed star at its center set off by a red and blue sunset.
VINTAGE:Circa 1960s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-3/16" in height and 1-1/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Two posts.
MARKINGS:N.S. MEYER INC. NEW YORK, Meyer maker's mark, 22M.

CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): The DI shows very light wear only.
