This is a circa 1960s Crest-Craft lighter for the United States Air Force Security Service, which operated from 1948 to 1979 as an intelligence branch. The front of the lighter has an enameled USAFSS emblem, upon which is displayed a globe, a thunderbolt, a winged foot and a sword and shield.
VINTAGE:Circa 1960s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/4" height and 1-3/16" width and 3/8" thickness.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Chrome-plated brass, brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Hinge.
MARKINGS:CREST-CRAFT JAPAN.
