1960s United States Navy Sidewinder Missile Systems Jacket Patch

This is a 1960s jacket patch made for the United States Navy Sidewinder Missile Systems squadron, the predecessor of the Surface Missile Systems. The patch is oval with a red border and shows a snake with fangs about to strike a missile. Patch reads SIDEWINDER.

Circa 1960s.

2-7/8" height and 4-3/4" width.

Cotton patch with red, yellow and black threads.

6+ (FineÑVery Fine): Patch shows some wear especially around edges but the colors are vivid.
