ARTIFACT: This is a 1960s airline wing for Dominicana (Dominicana de Aviaci—n), a company that started out flying from the Dominican to locales such as the US, Spain and Puerto Rico in 1944. The company ceased to exist in 1999. The wing shows a capital D with a slender aircraft shooting through it. The wing now has a handsome coppery tone from both polishing and the tropical climate in which it was used.

VINTAGE: Circa 1960s.

SIZE: Approximately 3/4" in height and 3" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass, enameled details.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an airlines collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAJM12 LAEEX8/13 SAAF/BEX12/13

CONDITION: 6+ (Fine-Very Fine): The wing has some areas of moderate wear from polishing and the tropical climate in which it was used.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
