1954-1955 Marked Sterling Silver Scottish Brooch with Large Smoky Quartz Topaz

This is a beautiful 1954-1955 date-marked Scottish brooch in engraved sterling silver with a large, round, faceted smoky quartz topaz. Lovely representations of thistles, the Scottish national flower, encircle the gemstone. The brooch has a Glasgow silver date mark for 1954-1955 and maker's mark on reverse.

Date-marked 1954-1955.

Approximately 1-3/4" in diameter and 5/8" in height.

Sterling silver, smoky quartz.

Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

WBS maker mark and four other markings, including the Glasgow date mark for 1954-1955.
