ARTIFACT:

This is a 1950s USS Gudgeon SS-567 patch variation. This variation depicts images of a Buddha, a shamrock, a kangaroo, the coastline of Massachusetts/Portsmouth NH area as well as an image of a cartoonish cave-man holding a missile-laden club over the ship.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1950s.

SIZE:

About 5-1/4" in width by 7" in height.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Fully embroidered with cotton/poly/silk embroidery thread.

ATTACHMENT:

To be sewn onto garment.
