ARTIFACT:
This is a 1950s patch for the United States Air Force 2nd Armament & Electronics Squadron from Hunter AFB in Georgia. The design changed in 1959 when this unit merged with the 308th Armament & Electronics Squadron. The patch shows a multi-tasking octopus at its center.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1950s.
SIZE:
Approximately 2-7/16" in height and 3-7/8" in width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Fully embroidered in cotton/silk/polyester thread.
