This is a well-used circa 1950s wing patch made for the United States Air Force's 48th Fighter Bomber Squadron. The patch shows the bust and arm of the Statue of Liberty encircled with a ring of stars and adorned with a banner reading STATUE DE LA LIBERTE.
VINTAGE:Circa 1950s.
SIZE:4-3/4" height and 3-3/4" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Cotton patch embroidered with red, blue and green cotton threads.

CONDITION:6 (Fine+): Patch is well-used with moderate fraying but has wonderful colors and design.
