ARTIFACT:

This is a 1950s badge by Drago for the French Naval Air Station Hyeres Le Palyvestre. The badge shows a man directing an incoming plane against a range of red mountains. Voici un insigne faite par Dargo pour le BAN (Base Principale de l' Aeronautique Navale) Hyeres Le Palyvestre. Le badge montre un homme de diriger un avion entrant contre une chaine de montagnes rouges.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1950s.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-9/16" in height and 1" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gold-plated brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical safety-style pin with saddles.

MARKINGS:

DRAGO-PARIS-NICE 3, RUE DE ROMAINVILLE; DRAGO PARIS on each saddle.
