This is a jacket patch by Gemsco for the United States Navy USS Rich DDE-820 (escort destroyer). The patch features a cartoon vulture and penguin carrying a barrel of explosives and reads HUNTER-KILLER.
VINTAGE:Circa 1950s-1960s.
SIZE:4-7/16" diameter on an 8" x 6" card.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Cotton twill patch embroidered in cotton/silk/polyester threads on printed paper card.
ATTACHMENT:Patch stapled to card.
MARKINGS:STYLED BY GEMSCO INC. TRADEMARK OF QUALITY NEW YORK, N.Y. and maker's mark.
