ARTIFACT:

This is a lapel pin for the Boy Scouts of America Sea (BSA) second-ever National Jamboree, which was held at Valley Forge, Pennsylvania in 1950. The Boy Scouts began congregating in Texas in 1910, and ever since 1937 the jamborees have been international events held roughly every four years with some exceptions.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1950.

SIZE:

Approximately 5/8" in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Plated brass.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal safety-style pin.
