ARTIFACT: This is a hardcover copy of "Flying Minute Men: The Story of the Civil Air Patrol" by Robert E. Neprud. The Civil Air Patrol (CAP) was established in 1941 as the official civilian corollary of the United States Army Air Forces and is still active today. The book was prepared for the Director of Public Relations, Department of the Air Force, and published by Duell, Sloan and Pearce in 1948 and illustrated with cartoons by Zack Mosley. The back of the book has a list of CAP wartime fatalities.

VINTAGE: Published 1948.

SIZE: 243 pages including black and white photographs; approximately 8-1/4" in height and 5-3/8" in width and 1" in thickness.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Embossed cloth cover, paper.

ATTACHMENT: Glued binding.
