Description
This is a World War II occupation period bullion shoulder patch made in Japan for the United States Army 43rd Infantry Division, a New England unit. The patch shows a grape leaf at center, which is a nod to the theory that the Vinland of Norse sagas and New England are one and the same place.
VINTAGE:Circa 1945 (beginning of World War II occupation period).
SIZE:Approximately 2-5/16" in height and 2-1/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Felt embroidered in silk and bullion threads with paper backing.

CONDITION:8+ (Excellent): The patch is in gorgeous shape with the lightest of tarnish to the bullion.
