ARTIFACT: This is a restricted 1944 manual prepared by the Headquarters Army Air Forces Office of Flying Safety entitled "Personal Equipment: A Manual for B-29 Crews". The book covers oxygen, life preservers, flak suits and helmets, first aid, parachute operation and more. This is a must for any escape and evasion, as well as any B-29 collection! The cover of the book was inscribed by its original owner, about whom we have no information.

VINTAGE: Published July 1944.

SIZE: 58 pages, including black and white photographs and some one-color illustrations. Approximately 11" in height and 8-1/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Oaktag cover, paper.

ATTACHMENT: Three hole punched binding.

MARKINGS: "Lt. W.J. McKim, Jr." written on cover; MARSHALL-WHITE, CHICAGO JULY, 1944 - 10,000.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army Air Forces collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MBEX04 LBBEX8/13 SBBEX10/14

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The book has some light wear to the cover, with no stains, tears or writing inside.
