ARTIFACT: This is a 1943 copy of the United States Army Technical Manual TM 30-306 entitled "German: A Guide to the Spoken Language". It covers many useful German words and phrases and has examples of international road signs. This booklet has some black-and-white cartoon illustrations to accompany the instructional text.

VINTAGE: Published 1943.

SIZE: 67 pages; approximately 5-1/4" in height and 4-1/2" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Oaktag cover; paper.

ATTACHMENT: Stapled binding.

MARKINGS: 430 written on cover; U.S. GOVERNMENT PRINTING OFFICE: 1943 O-538793.
