Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a United States GI ring with ORAN, AFRICA 1943 etched on its face. Oran, as an important Algerian port, was chosen for an Allied amphibious landing. The ring has an Art Deco-ish design and tapers in width at the back.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1943.

SIZE:

Approximate size 10.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Plated brass.
