The Commandos were hand-picked men from the British Royal Armed Forces, along with some volunteers, who cooperated with the United States Army "Rangers" on anti-German raids within Europe. The book was published by the MacMillan Company of New York and has a bookplate identifying a previous owner, D. Harland Beebe.
