Description
This is a circa 1943 hardcover copy of "Combined Operations: The Official Story of the Commandos". The book's dust jacket is intact: it is rare to find this book in this condition. The book has a foreword by Vice Admiral Lord Louis Mountbatten, Chief of Combined Operations. The Commandos were hand-picked men from the British Royal Armed Forces, along with some volunteers, who cooperated with the United States Army "Rangers" on anti-German raids within Europe. The book was published by the MacMillan Company of New York and has a bookplate identifying a previous owner, D. Harland Beebe.

SIZE:155 pages with black and white photographs and illustrations; approximately 8-3/16" in height and 5-5/8" in width and 13/16" in thickness.
