ARTIFACT:

This is a launching ribbon for the USS Shad SS-235 that bears the slogan Remember Pearl Harbor". The Shad was launched from Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard on April 15, 194She earned six battle stars for World War II service and was decommissioned in 1947.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1942.

SIZE:

Approximately 2-1/4" in width and 5" in length.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Printed silk.
