ARTIFACT: This is a launching ribbon for the USS Shad SS-235 that bears the slogan Remember Pearl Harbor". The Shad was launched from Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard on April 15, 1942. She earned six battle stars for World War II service and was decommissioned in 1947.

VINTAGE: Circa 1942.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/4" in width and 5" in length.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Printed silk.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Navy collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAJX13 LFEX1/13

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The ribbon has some minor wear and a few small spots of very light discoloration.
