ARTIFACT: This is a Field Service Regulations, Operations manual FM 100-5 from the United States War Department from May 22, 1941. This book contains the doctrines of leading troops in combat and tactics of the combined arms and constitutes the basis of instruction of all arms and services for field service. Chapters cover everything from organization of Infantry, Cavalry, Air Corps, etc., to Troop Movements to Special Operations. While there are no illustrations in the manual, it appears very descriptive in language. This manual is part of a collection of uniforms, books and manuals from USMC Officer Stanley L. Berry.

VINTAGE: Circa May 22, 1941.

SIZE: About 4-3/8 in width by 6-3/4" in height; 320 pages plus front and back covers

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Printed paper pages with heavy paper covers.

ATTACHMENT: Bound by thread and glue.
