ARTIFACT: This is a scarce "Lucky Mr. Peanut" pin from the 1939-1940 World's Fair in New York. The pin is on its original card. Mr. Peanut, the Planters' Peanuts mascot, was 33 at the time of his World's Fair appearance. The pin shows him standing in front of the "Perisphere" and leaning against the fair's "Trylon" monuments.

VINTAGE: Circa 1939-1940.

SIZE: Approximately 1-7/8" in height and 13/16" in width; card is 1-9/16" by 3-9/16".

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Printed on wood; oaktag card.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical safety pin.

MARKINGS: MADE IN ST. LOUIS U.S.A. ARTCRAFT NOVELTY CO. on card.

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The pin shows only light storage wear with a small chip to its elbow. 4+ (Very Good): The card with some heavy wear and creasing.
