ARTIFACT:

This is a circa 1930s or World War II photo identification badge for a worker at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. Goodyear has been in business since 1898, and started out making tires for bicycles and carriages. The badge was manufactured by the Whitehead & Hoag Company of Newark, New Jersey and is numbered on reverse.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1930s-World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-3/4" in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Plated brass, clear celluloid, photograph, paper.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal safety-style pin.

MARKINGS:
