Description
This is a wonderfully rare 1930s Bureau of Air Commerce pilot wing for its Southwest Division. The predecessor of the Civil Aeronautics Authority (and later Administration), the Bureau of Air Commerce was established in 193Pilots were stationed at district headquarters around the United States, and the Southwest District was and is still headquartered at Fort Worth, Texas. The center of the wing is a nicely enameled red circle reading FORT WORTH with a stylized "A" at center.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 15/16" in height and 3-3/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
