This is a badge for the Boston and Maine Railroad's "Snow Train", which operated from 1931-1971 during the winter to bring adventurers from Massachusetts to slopes and villages in Vermont and New Hampshire. The badge shows a man cross-country skiing and reads BOSTON & MAINE R.R. SNOW TRAIN.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/16" diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with "C" catch.
