ARTIFACT:

This is a 1923 real photo postcard (RPPC) of a jiu jitsu fighter. RPPCs were introduced in 1903 by Kodak, who had a camera with film conveniently the same size as a postcard. This shot was taken by San Diego photographer T. Fujimoto, and the postcard is signed by him on the back.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1923.

SIZE:

Approximately 5-5/16" in height and 3-5/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Printed paper.
