ARTIFACT: 1920's period, German Weimar Republic Naval Officer miniature dagger with extremely rare portapee (knot). The gilt brass scabbard and Bakelite (or catalin) handle display gorgeous detail, as well as the roping that creates the portapee.

VINTAGE: Circa 1920's

SIZE: Dagger: 8"; Handle & Throat 2 3/16" x 7/16"; Guard 1 ??"; Blade 5 ?? x 5/16"; Scabbard 6" x ??"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated steel blade, gilt brass scabbard and handle parts, Bakelite or catalin plastic handle.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a collection of German militaria artifacts which we will be listing more of over the next few months. CON-JMBG-15-14 LDEJX11/14 RET4/15

CONDITION: 9- (Excellent+): Miniature dagger shows minor wear/handling. The gilt is bright and remains intact. The rope tying the portapee is in beautiful condition. Nearly all the plating on the steel blade remains.
