ARTIFACT: Circa 1920s Lovell Bus Lines Inc. operator's badge. Originally called the Woburn Bus Lines, John Lovell arrived in Maynard in 1923 with a bus running to South Acton. Soon after, the company had established permanent bus routes from Concord to Hudson and later expanded to Arlington Heights, Clinton, and Leominster. before going out of business in 1954. The round, circle star badge is numbered: "31" in the center and surrounding it reads: "OPERATOR LOVELL BUS LINES INC".

VINTAGE: Circa 1920s.

SIZE: About 1-3/4" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel-plated brass with black paint detail.

ATTACHMENT: Safety-style pin.

MARKINGS: None.
