Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a 1920s advertising thermometer for Frank Morris Harley Davidson Motorcycles of Portsmouth, New Hampshire (the "Home of Frank's Riders"). The thermometer is meant to be mounted on a wall, is framed in brass and shows a peaceful mountain scene.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1920s.

SIZE:

Approximately 9-1/8" height and 3-1/8" width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Glass, paper, brass, mercury, cardboard backing.

ATTACHMENT:

Wire hanger.

MARKINGS:
