ARTIFACT: This is a beautiful circa 1920s child's Singer hand-crank sewing machine in cast iron and nickel. The Singer Corporation can trace its roots back to 1851. The sewing machine comes with a vintage red leather case, but it is probably not original to the sewing machine. The hand-crank has seven spokes and different parts of the machine such as the spool pin are numbered (see photo).

VINTAGE: Circa 1920s.

SIZE: Approximately 6-1/2" in height, 7" in length and 3" in width (at plate).

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Cast iron, nickel, felted bottom; case: leather with cloth lining and metal.

ATTACHMENT: Buckles and strap (broken) on case.

MARKINGS: THE SINGER MAN'F'G CO. TRADE MARK.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an antique child's item collection that we will be listing more of over the next few months. SHOP MEJX13 LAIEX12/13 SAGEX2/14

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The machine is in excellent condition with some tiny spots of oxidation on the plate; handle on case is separated on one end.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
