ARTIFACT:
This is a 1920s French badge from the Tulle Technical School, established in 1924. In the aftermath of World War I, the new school took over for the outdated school formerly at Montreuil-sur-Mer. The badge shows a soldier wearing a red sash at its center. Ceci est un insigne pour L'Ecole Technique de Tulle, établie en 1924. Dans la foulée de la Première Guerre mondiale, la nouvelle école a repris pour l'école dépassée auparavant à Montreuil-sur-Mer. Le badge montre un soldat portant une écharpe rouge en son centre.

Circa 1920s.
SIZE:
About 1-7/16" in width by 1-7/16" in height. Environs 3.7 de diamètre.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Stamped brass with gilt and red painted accents. En laiton estampé avec des dorures et rouge accents peints.
ATTACHMENT:
Horizontal pin with a "C" catch. Axe horizontal avec un "C" attraper.
