ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1920s-1930s French newspaper reporter's badge from L'Intransigeant (Uncompromising). The newspaper first came of the presses in 1880 and continued in print until the Vichy takeover. During its four decades the newspaper's stance changed from left-wing to strongly right-wing. L'Intransigeant was resurrected post-war Under a different name and then merged with the Paris Presse. The badge is enameled in blue, white, red and gold. Ceci est un circa 1920-1930 badge du journaliste de L'Intransigeant. Le journal a été publié en 1880 et a été imprimé jusqu'à ce que la prise de contrôle de Vichy. Au cours de ses quatre décennies la position du journal a changé de gauche à droite fortement. L'Intransigeant a été ressuscité après-guerre sous un nom différent et ensuite fusionné avec la Presse parisienne. Le badge est émaillé en bleu, blanc, rouge et or.

VINTAGE: Circa 1920s-1930s.

SIZE: Approximately 1" in diameter. Environ 2.5 cm de diamètre.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-plated brass, enamel. Laiton or, emailé.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal kick pin with C catch. Broches coup horizontal avec C attraper.

MARKINGS: None. Rien.
