Description
ARTIFACT:
1920's - 1930's New Jersey Public Service supervisory employee hat badge. The ornately detailed badge has a center that shows a triangle with the letters 'NJ' inside and surrounding it is a raised ring that reads: "PUBLIC SERVICE" and along the top: "SUPERVISORY" all in embossed lettering. The bottom of the badge is numbered: "169". New Jersey Public Service still exists and is NJ's oldest public utilities company.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1920's 1930's.
SIZE:
Approximately 1 7/8" in height x 1 3/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:
Stamped, lacquered brass.
ATTACHMENT:
Two screw posts with disc (nut) backings.

CONDITION:
8+ (Excellent): The badge shows minor to moderate wear, nearly all the plating details remain fully intact, period of wear repair to one of the screw posts.
