ARTIFACT: This is a beautiful carved circa 1920s or 1930s Chinese mask in rosewood with bone, shell and glass inserts. The fierce face represents a character from "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms", a historical novel set in the around the end of the Han Dynasty, from the later part of the 2nd century A.D. to the later part of the next century. The bearded face has two wonderful dragons adorning its helmet. The various inserts make up the figures' teeth and eyes.

VINTAGE: Circa 1920s-1930s.

SIZE: Approximately 10-1/4" in height and 4-1/4" in depth and 7-3/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Rosewood with bone, shell and glass inserts.

ATTACHMENT: Hanger.

MARKINGS: None.
