Rare, privately printed American Ambulance Field Service Book with the AFS in France, 2nd edition with tipped in page at front showing Croix de Guerre and letter at end for donations. Front of book reads: "WITH THE AMERICAN AMBULANCE FIELD SERVICE IN FRANCE – PERSONAL LETTERS OF A DRIVER AT THE FRONT – PRINTED ONLY FOR PRIVATE DISTRIBUTION – JANUARY 1916". 7 (Very Fine): The book shows moderate wear mostly to edges and corners, a couple storage/water spots on cover, but does not detract from overall appearance. Pages are all intact and show only storage/age wear, light discoloring of the paper at edges.
