This is a circa 1910s State Humane Association of California (SHAC) officer badge. The badge is an early issue badge, as SHAC was established in 190The group began by providing strategic as well as legal assistance to individual and private entities interested in promoting humane issues. It is a six-pointed star and is numbered 14.
VINTAGE:Circa 1910s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-3/4" in height and 2-3/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickel-plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical T-style pin with C catch.
MARKINGS:None.
