This is a circa 1910s-1920s cap badge for the Hudson River Navigation Company Night Line, the departures that were bound upstream at night. Hudson River was a steamboat line formed by merger of the People's Line and the Citizens Line. The badge shows a bullion laurel wreath beneath a striped flag bearing HNH.
VINTAGE:Circa 1910s-1920s.
SIZE:2" height and 3-1/4" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wool embroidered in gold bullion and red, white and blue silk/cotton threads with mesh backing.

CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): Badge has some nips of wear around edges and moderate tarnish on the bullion.
