Description
Great 1902 Fire Muster Badge for the Phoenix Fire Company of Poughkeepsie, New York and the Bussey Steamer Company of Troy, New York. The round center of the badge displays a raised #1 and surrounding it reads: "POUGHKEEPSIE, N. Y. TROY, N. Y.". The top of the badge features an eagle with wings spread, looking to the viewer's left, and just below it reads: "PHOENIX". The base of the badge features the date: "1902" and just above it reads: "BUSSEY STEAMER".
VINTAGE:Circa 1902.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/2" in height x 1-1/2" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Stamped, nickel plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical kick pin with 'C' catch.

CONDITION:6 (Fine+): The badge shows moderate to heavy wear, small areas of oxidation mostly on reverse, and much of the plating details remain intact.
