ARTIFACT: Great 1902 Fire Muster Badge for the Phoenix Fire Company of Poughkeepsie, New York and the Bussey Steamer Company of Troy, New York. The round center of the badge displays a raised #1 and surrounding it reads: "POUGHKEEPSIE, N. Y. TROY, N. Y.". The top of the badge features an eagle with wings spread, looking to the viewer's left, and just below it reads: "PHOENIX". The base of the badge features the date: "1902" and just above it reads: "BUSSEY STEAMER".

VINTAGE: Circa 1902.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/2" in height x 1-1/2" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Stamped, nickel plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical kick pin with 'C' catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a fire and rescue collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. TRVAJJX TREJX15 LAHEX7/15 SeVBAEX08/26/20

CONDITION: 6 (Fine+): The badge shows moderate to heavy wear, small areas of oxidation mostly on reverse, and much of the plating details remain intact.
