ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1940s or 1950s Uniondale, New York Fire Department Manor Engine Company No. 3 badge for the 2nd Lieutenant. Uniondale is a Long Island community whose Fire Department was organized in 1924. The badge has enameled lettering and a fire horn in relief at the center.

VINTAGE: Circa 1940s-1950s.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/4" in height and 1-1/2" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical kick pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an old New York fire and rescue badge collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MCEX14 LIEX5/14 SEAX2/15

CONDITION: 6- (Fine): The badge has some small areas of tarnish and wear and a few small bits of the enamel are missing from the lettering; some minor oxidation.
