1896 Gold-Filled Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) Member Lapel Pin

This is a nicely enameled 1896 Sons of Confederate Veterans lapel pin. Formed in 1896 and still active today, the SCV is made up of men whose ancestors served honorably for the Confederate armed forces. The pin shows the Confederate flag at center.

Circa 1896.

½" square.

Gold-filled with red, white and blue enamel.

Lapel stud and one stabilization post.

FILLED and obscured Rhode Island maker's mark on pin; STANDARD EMBLEM CO. PROVIDENCE RI with diamond maker's mark on backing.
