This is an 1890s US Marine Corps Enlisted Man's Shako Helmet Plate.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1890s.

SIZE:

About 3-1/2" in width by 3-3/8" in height.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gold-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT:

Single screw post with two stabilizing pins which are no longer present.

MARKINGS:

None.
