ARTIFACT: This is an attractive special police cut-out star badge by Lyon of New York. The badge has some nice detailing which lends a three-dimensional look to the star and gives it a delicate border.

VINTAGE: Circa 1890s.

SIZE: 1-3/8" height and 1-1/8" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel-plated brass with painted lettering.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with "C" catch.

MARKINGS: ? & LYON CHAMBERS NEW YORK (some letters are missing).

ITEM NOTES: This is from a police collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAG/E02 LAAEX8/10 SAAEX9/12

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): Badge has a few slight abrasions and some tarnishing on reverse only.
