This is an attractive special police cut-out star badge by Lyon of New York. The badge has some nice detailing which lends a three-dimensional look to the star and gives it a delicate border.
VINTAGE:Circa 1890s.
SIZE:1-3/8" height and 1-1/8" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickel-plated brass with painted lettering.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with "C" catch.
MARKINGS:? & LYON CHAMBERS NEW YORK (some letters are missing).

CONDITION:8+ (Excellent): Badge has a few slight abrasions and some tarnishing on reverse only.
